This conceptual automotive user interface and motion design project showcases next-generation applications designed specifically for connected vehicle console displays.

Created for HERE Technologies (a mapping and location data platform joint-venture backed by Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz Group), the project focuses heavily on the unique UX challenges of in-car environments. Because glanceability and driver safety are paramount, the visual hierarchy prioritises information clarity over unnecessary clutter. The resulting concepts blend crisp telemetry data dials, minimalist circular gauge layouts, and real-time 3D vehicle assets to deliver vital metrics intuitively at a single glance.

Designing for panoramic automotive screens requires a strict adherence to grid systems and glanceable data visualization. This digital dash concept, developed for HERE Technologies (Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz Group), showcases a unified telemetry and mapping system built on a low-key, high-contrast dark aesthetic.

The UI architecture leverages a continuous horizontal axis to represent time and distance along the current route. A clean linear timeline tracks the vehicle’s progress relative to upcoming urban environments and service icons. Positioned cleanly next to vital instrument cluster diagnostics (including RPM and speed indicators), this panoramic layout demonstrates how cinematic motion graphics can enhance spatial awareness and elevate the modern connected vehicle user experience.

This experimental phase focuses on look-development for future vehicle telemetry interfaces, exploring the boundaries of real-time 3D design. The primary goal was to establish a versatile production library of aesthetic techniques, tactile emissive materials, and atmospheric lighting setups to serve future conceptual HUD projects.

Built entirely within Cinema 4D, rendered via Octane, and composited using After Effects, the style explorations focus on generating complex, glowing wireframe wire-mesh models. The studies contrast low-poly mechanical buggy assets on a tracking grid against an intricate, full-scale coupe diagnostic model. By treating the vehicles as multi-layered digital holograms with chromatic aberration, fine vector data labels, and distinct red and blue warning overlays, these concepts bridge the gap between abstract motion graphics and functional sci-fi UI.
