Information

Explorations in 2D image processing, where clean digital images and 3D renders are transformed into ASCII art, glitch and degraded analogue looks.

Every piece here was run through a custom tool built to produce a wide range of lo-fi effects, from VHS static and ghosting to chromatic aberration and 8-bit computer displays. Much of my work involves making digital imagery feel analogue, and this project turns the techniques I usually use into repeatable workflows.

Digital to Analogue

Much of my work involves taking clean, digital imagery, including 3D renders, and giving it a more analogue look. Clients often ask for a worn, imperfect quality that adds texture and tone to what is often a cold and ultra-clean source image or render.

Developing my own tools and workflows provides the chance to build repeatable production workflows for a multitude of applications. Every image in this project was run through the custom tools and processes built, producing a wide range of lo-fi looks, from subtle ghosting to heavy digital decay.
